IELTS Certificate New Zealand

In New Zealand, similar to other countries, there’s no “IELTS certificate.” After taking the test, you’ll receive a Test Report Form (TRF) which is the official document recording your English language proficiency.

Here’s a breakdown of the New Zealand process:

  • Issuing Body: The TRF is issued by the test center you took the test at, affiliated with the British Council or IDP Education.

  • Receiving Your TRF:

    • Paper-Based Test: Collect your paper TRF in person from the test center 13-14 days after your test date.
    • Computer-Based Test: It’s faster. Download the electronic TRF (e-TRF) from the test taker portal 3-6 days after your test. You’ll receive login information from the test center.
  • Content of the TRF: The TRF displays your band score for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) and an overall band score. The test date and location are also included.

  • Validity: The TRF is valid for two years from the test date.

Additional Notes:

  • Similar to other regions, you can request up to five additional copies (ATRF) of your TRF to be sent directly to institutions you’re applying to.
  • You cannot get your IELTS results by phone or email due to security reasons.
